Cecil Ray “Bud” Watts, Sr., of Morristown, left this world of sorrow on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was retired from Universal after many years of service. He was a member of Friends View Missionary Baptist Church in Jefferson City. He met the Lord when he was 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Ruby Mae Burchell Watts; sister, Louise Cole; and children, Kathy, David, and Gary.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruby Pearl Reed Watts; son, Cecil Ray (Kayla) Watts, Jr.; daughters, Mary (Jeff) Broyles and Joyce (Jon) Carroll; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He will forever be missed by his best friend, Jake, his toy poodle.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 11, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Vernon Heatherly and Rev. Ralph Morgan will officiate. Family and friends will meet at St. Paul Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the services.
