Claude Martin Lane, age 72, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 6, 2012. He was a member of Rocky Summitt Baptist Church and retired from Lear Seating Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mildred Lane; and brother, Ray Lane.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Kathy Lane; daughters, Lorie Lane-Manis (Chris) of Bean Station, Renee King of Denver, NC; grandchildren, Brianna Lane, Hannah Manis, Matthew King; sisters, Carol (Jim) McCarter of Knoxville, Libby (Rocky) Elliot of Knoxville; brothers, Archie (Lanell) Lane of Sevierville, Don (Diane) Lane of Knoxville, Jerry (Gay) Lane of Knoxville, Paul (Louise) Lane of Vero Beach, FL; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Monday, January 9th at 8 p.m. with Rev. David Rutherford officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday in Rocky Summitt Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be Chris Manis, Daryll Winstead, Mike McCarter, Tim McCarter, Russell Elliot, Matthew Winstead, and Michael Clouse. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #5266. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the services.
