

Earl Wesley Garrison, II, better known as Garry, passed away on Saturday, April 8th at his home in Cocke County, TN. He was a kind, gentle, and loving man who was loved by his family and friends. He was born in 1961 in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He was the first child of Jeffrey and Shadaleen Garrison. He lived in NJ until he was 12 when his family moved to Morristown, TN. He attended the University of TN and he was in the National Guard. He worked for many years as a Greyhound Bus Driver, long haul truck driver, and his last job was with RPN as a local delivery driver. He loved playing pool and could be found participating in local billiards tournaments. As a younger man, he looked forward to hunting season and could be found trooping through the woods around his house. He was an avid reader of Mother Jones magazine, science fiction, and Stephen King novels.
He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle active in taking care of his family and being there when they needed him. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and his brother Jeffrey Garrison, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Mary Garrison; his brother-in-law, Willie Kim; his niece and her husband, Malia Kim and John Craig Howell; his nephew and his wife, Dr. Jordan Kim and Lorrin Kim; and his great nephews, Townes Garrison Howell and Jude Moon Howell.
He will be remembered for his loyalty to family and friends and his willingness to help others.
The receiving of friends is from noon to 2pm and the memorial is at 2pm, on Saturday, April 15 at Stubblefield Funeral Home 5421 East Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN. His ashes will be interred with his mother near his home in Bybee, TN.
