Eddie “Ed” Conley Combs Jr, age 65, of Whitesburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was of the Christian faith. Ed grew up in Circleville, OH. He graduated from West Georgia College. He met his wife, Sabrina, while living in Georgia, and they married in 1975. They moved to Tennessee in 1979, where they raised their family of three children. He worked at Triangle Pacific in Morristown for 22 years, and in recent years owned Central Park Burgers in Greeneville. He was the type of person that enjoyed being front and center in whatever was happening. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hiking, swimming, and playing golf. Ed’s favorite thing was spending time with his family. In recent years, he was especially eager to spend time with his grandchildren and share stories about them.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sabrina K. Combs; son, Clifford (Candice) Combs; daughters, Rachel Combs (Travis Moore), and Charity Combs; grandchildren, Alphonse, Xavier, and Elise Combs; parents, Eddie and Betty Hayes Combs of Circleville, OH; and brother, Clifford Michael (Karyne) Combs.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Ed Combs.
