

Elnora “Ellen” Cobble Hinkle, age 83, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. She was a member of Morristown Baptist Tabernacle. She professed Christ as her Savior at an early age. Ellen owned and operated a beauty shop for several years and later attended visual arts classes at Carson Newman University. She also was a volunteer at Heritage Nursing Home, where she completed 8,000 service hours doing arts & crafts classes and a senior “Joy” choir. She was also a member of the Samuel Doak Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Flossie Cobble of Midway; brother-in-law, Minnis Hinkle; and sister-in-law, Linda Smith of Greeneville. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Cliff Hinkle of Morristown; son and girlfriend, Mike Hinkle and Jann Walker of Jefferson City; daughters, Jan (Raymon) McCrocklin of Dandridge, Pam Simpkins of Nashville, Joy Harris of Morristown; brother, C. M. (Carole) Cobble of Afton; sister, Alma (Larry) Carter of Bristol; brother-in-law, Junior Hinkle; sister-in-law, Cathy Riddle, both of Greeneville; grandchildren, Christy Noe of Nashville, Carrie (Bill) Collins of Clover, SC, Russ (Bianca) McCrocklin of Clover, SC, Tara (Greg) Dillehay of Henderson; Olivia Harris of Morristown; step-grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Harville; and great-grandchildren, Trenton Harris, Caleb Collins, Madeline McCrocklin, Sadie and Ben Shockley, and Hudson Dillehay. Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Thursday, December 24, 2015 from 1 – 1:30 p.m. Funeral services to follow at 1:30 p.m. with C. M. Cobble officiating. Interment will follow in Noe’s Chapel Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Morristown Baptist Tabernacle or Lakeway Christian School. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
