

She was known for her generous and selfless nature, always putting others before herself. Freida's humor brought joy to all who knew her, and she will be remembered fondly for her ability to make others smile. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She attended Statem Gap Missionary Baptist Church.
In her personal time, Freida was known as a yard sale and estate sale queen, a hobby she pursued with enthusiasm and passion. Her eye for hidden treasures and her knack for finding bargains were well known.
Preceding her in death are her son: Paul Buell; parents; Ewing "Doc" and Dorothy "Dot" Buell; In-laws: Carl "Jack" and Arlene Corbett; Brothers-in-law: Terry and Bill Corbett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years: Carl Steve Corbett; daughter: Krystal Jarnigan (James Diamond); son: Dewayne Stewart; grandchildren: Beby Jarnigan (Cheyanna), Thomas Jarnigan, Jr., Cody Still, Chris Roach, Andrew and Jade Stewart. Special grandchildren: Marquis Keasling, Dylan Hardin, Zelya and Zayle Elkins and Ethan Diamond. Sisters: Teresa Hermsdorfer (Bruce) Watheda Monroe (David). Special nephew and niece: Zeb Elkins (Nikki) and Melissa Hardin. Nephews: Greg, Tim and Josh Hermsdorfer and Zar Elkins; Niece: Crystal Monroe. And many other friends and family that meant alot to her.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
