He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Short; grandparents: Henry and Clara Hunley and Clay and Hannah Short.
Henry was a good-hearted soul who loved fishing, woodworking and gardening. He loved and cared for everyone around him; he made everyone laugh and smile. He was of the Baptist faith, was saved at an early age and a member of Slate Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his fiance' Cindy McMahan of 15 years. Father, Jack Short (Kathy Short), children; Lashae Pflaumer, Summer, Faith, Chelsea and Kiersten Gregory. Siblings; Melinda Brooks (Richard Brooks), Jeffery Short (Jenifer Short), Greg Short and Ashley Engle (Mike Engle). Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many special friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
Stubblefield Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
