

Larry Duane LaForce, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Morristown on December 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 1, 1943 to the late Irene LaForce and William “Willard” LaForce and was raised in Sneedville, Tennessee.
At a young age, Larry was saved at Chestnut Ridge Church and later became a member of Clay Creek Baptist Church. Larry spent many years working in upholstery, at North Cumberland Motors and Mahle, where he dedicated over 20+ years before retiring.
Larry’s greatest love was his wife Wanda, who faithfully cared for him and stood by his side for 61 wonderful years. Together they loved family beach vacation, the mountains, their cabin, and their family. Those left behind to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his loving wife Wanda (Snowden) LaForce, his son, Larry LaForce II, his daughter, Angela LaForce, and his cherished granddaughter, Charlsey Collins.
Larry is also survived by his sister, JoAnn (James) Trent of Sneedville, and his brother, Gary (Robin) LaForce of Sneedville. He shared a close and meaningful bond with his in laws, who held a special place in his life, including Jeff (Tracey) Snowden, Eddie (Katherine) Snowden, Larry (Vicki) Snowden, and sisters in law Faye and Bobbie Snowden.
He was preceded in death by brothers in law Joe and Gene Snowden. Larry also leaves behind several beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear family friends.
He enjoyed golf and had a lifelong appreciation for cars. He will be remembered for his faith in God and his love for his family. A special thank you to the staff of Caris Healthcare, Michael Igbokwe, and Judy Hogan for their kindness, care, and support.
A graveside service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at Hamblen Memorial Gardens on Monday January 5th at 11am with Pastor Joel Tilson will officiate.
