Loetta Shockley Majors, age 70, of Morristown, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at her home. She was a member of Manley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Shockley; and mother, Jeanette “Nettie” Jarnigan. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Paul Majors; daughters, Teresa May of Morristown, and Lisa (Michael) Weaver of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Brandon (Jessi) Moyers of Whitesburg, Stephanie (Duke) McBee of Morristown, Alex Weaver of North Myrtle Beach, SC; great-grandchildren, Mason, Emma, and Dylan Moyers, Journey McBee, and Demi Baggatta; half-sister, Donna Ramsey of Tazewell; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Dr. Richard Emmert and Rev. Sonny Davis will officiate. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. on Monday in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the services. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
