

She grew up poor, had a tough but good life. Loved her siblings. and often talked of times growing up. She was thankful that her parents led prayer with them every night before going to bed to sleep. She was saved at Grissom Island Missionary Baptist Church in her childhood. As a shut in, late in life, she joined the Family Worship Center (Jimmy Swagart) and enjoyed fellowship via his TV programs. Brother Swagart was part of her quitting smoking journey.
She worked at Norris Homes, Cabinet Shop, and spray room. She enjoyed tobacco gardening, and fishing with grampass, talking on the telephone, but snow was probably her favorite. She was a strong little woman and could shot her gun and hit where she aimes. She loved her grandkids so very much and was proud of each of them. She looked forward to folks coming to camp in her front yard. She spent countless hours sitting at her kitchen table looking out the window watching the Clinch river as it flowed over the rocks and ledges.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Claby and Della; siblings: Dorothy, Clure and Lemmie; daughter: Sunshine and grandson Brandon and her beloved pet Pebbles.
She leaves to celebrate her life: brother: Clyde, children: Nancy and Tommy and Nina and David; grandchildren: Taneka and Cephus, Charles and Jessie, Brianna and Kyle, Macy, Keisha, Jade, Tilton, Abby, Billy, Justin, Kasandra, Makenzi and Kara. Great granddaughters: Wylie and Maddie. Nieces and nephews: JoAnn, JC, Della, Pat, Kevin, Albert, Amanda, Kenny, Chris, MaryAnn, Amy, Tim. Treasured friends and neighbors: Lissa, AnnaBelle, Scotty, and Sherry, Leonard and Patsy, Larry and Robin to name a few.
A celebration of Little Mamaw's life will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at her burial place in The Bent at McDaniel-Carpenter Cemetery near 1679 Grissom Island Lane, Tazewell, TN.
Pallbearers will be, Kenny Harville, Charles Singleton,Tilton Noah IV ,Kyle Wentz, Cephus Hewett.
