Nita Riley McCall

Nita Riley McCall, age 95, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Morristown, TN, went to her heavenly rest on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. She passed away at the Serenity House of Morristown, TN minutes away from her 96th birthday. Nita was born in Barbour County, AL, and lived her younger years in Columbus, GA. In 1947, she moved to Florida, where she spent the majority of her years. For many years, Nita was a bank teller, before fulfilling her dream of a college education. While raising three children, she graduated Cum Laude in 1969 earning her BS in English Education from Florida Atlantic University. She would later work for her husband, P.F. McCall, at his CPA firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Nita was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a woman of style that loved her family, Florida, golfing, and ballroom dancing. She was an energetic, vivacious, kind, and loyal person.

She is preceded in death by her husband: P.F. McCall; daughter: Brenda Stanley Crawford; parents: William Lon Riley and Ella Mae Sanders Riley; and brother: Lonnie Frank Riley.

Survivors include her daughters: Vicky McCall (Dr. John) Robertson and Cathy McCall (Ron) McClellan. Grandchildren: Cathleen “Tori” Crawford (Chuck) Cobb, Drs. Jennifer Robertson (Shane) Claiborne, Heather Robertson LaFon, Michael K. (Jessica) Robertson, Ryan K. (Stephanie) McClellan, and Capt. Sean G. (Leah) McClellan. And great-grandchildren: Luke, Emma, Riley, and Cole McClellan; Connor and Julia Claiborne; Penelope and Genevieve LaFon, and Lily, Bailey, Josie, and Finley McClellan.

The family will receive friends from 4:00- 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in Columbus, GA on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Interment immediately following at Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, GA.
