RAYMOND H. ELKINS, SR, age 81 of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was All-State in football in 1955 at Morristown High School. He was an avid bird and rabbit hunter and fisherman. He loved UT football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Eldridge Elkins; step-mother, Ruby Elkins; brother, Harvey Elkins; in-laws, Allen and Virginia Clark. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice Elkins; son, Raymond (Tina) Elkins Jr; daughters, Penny Coffey and Michelle (Charlie) Rogers; sisters, Shirley Webber and Wanda Justice; brothers, Robert (Christine) Elkins, Paul (Glenda Hardin) Elkins and Wayne (Lisa) Elkins; grandchildren, Heather (Tim) Ellison, Shanda Elkins, David Allen Coffey, Christina Elkins, Hunter and Phillip Rogers; great-grandchildren, Elisjah Coffey and Jase Ellison. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Sweet and Rev. Dan Starks officiating. Family and friends will meet on Sunday, January 29 at 1:45 p.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
