Stella Joyce Ray Dollar, age 71, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, February 23, 2011 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. Stella was retired from BASF and was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Morristown where she served her Lord and fellowman in many unselfish ways, giving freely of her time and talents. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Rachel Ray. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Wayne H. Dollar; son, David Aaron(Carla) Dollar and special daughter, Rachel Elaine Dollar. David and Carla blessed the Dollar family with 5 grandchildren – Taylor, Shelby, Emily, Mattie, and Landon. Stella was a totally committed wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to everyone who knew her. She is also survived by a brother, Clyde (Myrtie) Ray, Jr.; a sister, Ruth (Don) Lovell; Brother-in law, Larry Dollar; sister-in-law, Brenda Dollar (Sid) Caratine and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Morristown. Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with
Pastor Greg Grant officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 11:00 a.m. at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
