Walon Harold Trent

Walon H. Trent, age 72, of Morristown, went to be with the Good Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Walon’s greatest love of life was his family whom he shared with his wife of 52 years, Alice Trent. He was a kind, gentle man to anyone he ever met. You were guaranteed to leave his home happy and full. He loved children, animals and nature. He was a husband, dad, brother, papaw, and friend, whom was loved by all. Heaven gained an angel who will be greatly missed. Walon was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Helton; father, Ben; step-mother, Mary Jane Trent; and brothers, Alan Trent and Delano Trent.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Trent; son, Mike (Amy) Trent; daughter, Glenda (Dallas) Trent; grandchildren, Destiny Tharp-Harvey and Dustin Tharp, Jacob Trent, Braden Rose, and Brinlee Trent; great-grandchildren, Bryson Harvey, Camden Harvey, Draven Tharp, and Christian Harrell; sisters, Shirley Lawson and Linda Trent; brothers Matthew Trent, Kenny Trent, and Keith Trent; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Saturday, February 13 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow with Dallas Tharp officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
