Wanda Mae Disney, age 86, of Rutledge, formerly Cumberland KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She was a retired beautician, accomplished artist, member of the Morristown Art Association, President of the Cumberland KY Women’s Club, and President of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 5171 Cumberland KY. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Bean Station and was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Short and Causby Johns.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph Disney; sons, Philip (Terry) Disney of Owensboro KY, Gary (Kathy) Disney of Mayflower, AR; daughter, Lisa L. (Mark) Blevins of Big Stone Gap VA; grandchildren, Erica (Scott) Saylor, Jeremy (Lori) Disney, Aaron (Amy) Disney, Rachel (Joie) Lyle, Brandi (Blake) Davis, and Ashley Wells; nine great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Ryan Davenport and Rev. Jeff Wright will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Scott Saylor, Jeremy Disney, Aaron Disney, Joie Lyle, Mark Blevins, Gary Disney, and Don Disney. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
