

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 24, 2021, 1:00pm at Brown Mortuary in Morton, Washington.
Gerald was born October 12, 1941, in Seattle WA to Frank and Dorthy Klepach and moved to Morton in 1957 as a Sophomore in High School. He attended Morton High School, where he met and later married Sharon Kay Garrett. After graduation, Gerald joined the army and served in the 559th Engineer Company and was Honorably discharged in 1969.
On his return to Morton, Gerald got his start in driving logging trucks for Ray Garrett. From that experience, he started and owned his own logging truck business until he retired.
Gerald also served on the Morton Fire Department for over 40 years and loved the people he worked with as they were his second family. He was an active member of the First Church of God where he attended services regularly and was an active member of the Morton community. His interests included family and friends, logging, fire service, gun collecting, fishing, and attending Church functions.
Gerald is survived by his wife Sharon (Sug) Klepach, sister-in-law Betty Ball (Garrett), Nephew’s, Jason Hamilton and Vincent Ball.
