Born February 22, 1940, to Albert and Laura Bangs, Julia brought joy to all who knew her. She was relentlessly positive, kind, and giving, and enjoyed being around her family and friends. Judy valued connections with those around her, and strived to make friends whatever the situation. Sometimes that was as simple as a conversation over her trademark pink hair and sometimes that was over a shared meal. Everyone was welcome to join Judy’s table, whether it was for a simple family meal, luncheon with friends, or a full-blown holiday feast! She enjoyed cooking for others and sharing her recipes, especially when she found a really good but simple one!
She had a heart of gold so big it could outshine Fort Knox, giving her time, money, and talent to those in need and various causes throughout her life. Her favorite Disney character was Tinkerbell, which speaks to a secret snarkiness that didn’t often make an appearance, but when it did, laughter usually followed. Hawaii was her favorite travel destination, having visited every island multiple times, always finding something new to enjoy. A collector of dolls, porcelain faces, teapots, Disney figurines and Santa Clauses, Judy had a knack for remembering everyone’s favorite things and collections and would often snag up those things to gift for no other reason than that she could.
Julia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Clint Greeley (of Vancouver); her brother Sunny (Joyce) Bangs (of Cinebar); daughter Debi Peters (of Coos Bay, OR); son James Cline (of Vancouver); Stepchildren Clint (Jana) Greeley (of Depoe Bay, OR), Brenda (Rick) Slupe (of Albany, OR) and Rhonda Felde (of Albany, OR); granddaughters Kelli Cooper (of Pullman) and Amanda Cooper (of Rochester); grandson Timothy McNulty (of Pullman); Step grandchildren Megan (Tajmen) Chiles (of Vancouver), Blake (Madi) Greeley (of Vancouver), Stephanie Vaughn (of Albany, OR), Nichole Richardson (of Portland, OR) and Kiefer VerSteegh (of Portland, OR); great granddaughter Alyssa, and great grandsons Marcus, Malakai and Jelani; step great grandsons Silas, Soren and Beckham.
