She was born March 31, 1940 in Westwood, Calif., joining the Russell family, her dad Morgan, mother Esther and sister Georgina.
Linda graduated from Reedsport Union High School, Reedsport, Ore., received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Oregon; Eugene, Ore. Other work experience included employment at Providence Medical Center, Portland, Ore., and a private counseling practice in Seattle. She has spent the past 13 years as Director of Women’s Ministries at Shoestring Valley Community Church, Onalaska, Wash.
Some of her favorite things were worshipping with fellow believers, visiting with friends, hiking in the mountains, sitting around a campfire and walking on the beach. She loved adventures-especially if she could go along with friends.
Linda claimed the most important event of her life was accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior, with the years in ministry to women as the best years of her life. The past month as cancer overtook her body the same women she had ministered to took care of her and her every need.
Linda touched many lives through teaching, counseling and ministry to others. She will be greatly missed.
