Minnie attended Chehalis schools and then married Loren “Jack” Sellards on July 2, 1926.
Minnie was an avid gardener and raised and preserved the family's food. She also sold eggs from her farm in Morton, Washington. Minnie liked flowers and grew dahlias. Her grandchildren hold precious memories of the fun they had visiting Grandma on the farm.
Minnie is remembered and survived by her two granddaughters: Christina (Jose) Valadez, Olympia, WA and Marcia Wingrove, Lacey, WA. Also her two great grandsons: Ricardo (Heather) and Victor Valadez. Her brother Howard (Mary) Tauscher and many nieces and nephews survive her as well.
She is preceded in death by her husband “Jack”, her daughter Lorene, brothers Pete and Ernie Tauscher and sisters Margaret and Cassie.
A funeral service began at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Brown Mortuary Service's Morton Chapel with Pastor Dave Brown officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown Mortuary Service.
