

Dick was born in Koudekerk, The Netherlands, October 10,1931 to Eldert and Nelly Rademaker. He married Audrey Doelman on July 13, 1960. Dick and Audrey had a dream of starting a new life in America and immigrated to Bellflower, California in October 1960.
Dick first worked as a ranch hand for a year then a hay bucker for a couple more years. He then drove hay truck for two years. He started working for United Dairymen in 1967. The family moved to Chino, California and he continued to work for United Dairymen. A few years later he was employed by Germania Dairy Center. In 1980 the entire family moved to Chehalis, Washington where he opened his own business, Chehalis DeLaval.
Dick was a gifted mechanic and had magic hands that could fix anything that needed it. He played with his WWII Indian motorcycle, Citroen and almost every model of Mercedes ever made. One of his proudest achievements was converting his Dodge truck to run on vegetable oil. He drove that truck for “free” for over 25 years.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Eldert and Nelly Rademaker, his brothers Piet and Cor Rademaker, and his sisters Neel Van Dam and Anna Smit.
Dick is survived by his wife, Audrey and his children Ann (Bruce) Alves, Elbert (Tammi) Rademaker, Nelly (Tony) Schaap and Nick (Kathy) Rademaker. He has 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Dick was an active member of the Olympia Christian Reformed Church for the past 45 years. He went on two mission trips to Honduras with the church.
