Aline E. Dowden

Ellen Aline Dowden went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the age of 89. She was born on September 24, 1925 in Florein, Louisiana to the parents of Joseph and Martha Chance. She was a very generous woman with a lot of love to give. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters; Lovie(Danny) Dickerson of Ragley, LA., Darlene (George) Book of Lake Charles, La., Fannie (Gary) Murrell of Fort Stock, Missouri, Sylvia (Terron) Vidrine of Lake Charles, La. Three sons; Eugene (Evelyn) Dowden of Hickory, MS, Roy (Wanda) Dowden of Westlake, La and Freddy (Kathy) Dowden of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Seventeen grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren and 6 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Dowden, two grandchildren, Gregory and Tony Dowden. Five brothers; William, Arvil, Ottis, Joseph and James Chance.

Special thanks to her caregiver- Sylvia Vidrine (daughter). Sincere Thanks to all the extended family and friends for their prayers and support.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, La.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, October, 26, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, La with Fred Dowden Officiating.

Burial will be 1:00pm on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Toro Cemetery in Plainview, La.
