Our mother was a graduate of Jonesboro - Hodge High in Jonesboro, Louisiana.
Shortly after graduation she started a career at Bell South in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
A short while later she met and married HJ Pettifield, they had five children and both walked together with Christ as their savior, a testament to the White Satin Bible with a Orchard on top of it that she carried down the aisle on her wedding day.
While raising her family she worked as a Care Giver in Geriatric Home Care, she was also a Poll Worker for Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.
Sewing and quilting hobbies have brought much joy to her family through the years. She was a natural at gardening and taking care of her flower beds, it was a welcoming past time of hers.
Our memories will not fade with time but will be treasured by each and every one whom knew her.
Billie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, HJ Pettifield; sisters, Louise Block, Charlene, Ann Myers, Minnie Colleps.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Herbert Charles and wife Katy of Topsy, LA; daughters, Melinda Pettifield - Cagle and husband Alex of Moss Bluff, Melissa Pettifield - McManus and husband, Ray of Ragley, LA, Billie Margo Fallon and husband, Mark of Moss Bluff, LA, Molly Pettifield - Hines and husband Blake of Lake Charles, LA; 16 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren
A visitation for Billie will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral service will begin Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM all at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial will follow at Creel Cemetery.
