Chuck was born May 16, 1931 in Dean, MT to Jake Karl & Mary Crow Schwenneker. He married Bonnie Katheryn Cagle on June 20, 1953 and together raised their two children, Karen and Greg, in Moss Bluff, LA.
Chuck retired from Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corp (now Williams) and was a member of the First Baptist Church Moss Bluff. He was a member of the Freemasons and also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 – 1953 as Airman Third Class.
Chuck was devoted to his family; he loved taking family vacations and cruises, and was always there for friends and loved ones; he was a great role model in both his personal and work life. In addition to working outside, Chuck loved reading novels, visiting over coffee, and having witty conversations; he never met a stranger and was a great storyteller with a wonderful memory. While Chuck enjoyed many things and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, his greatest passion was his family and he will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Karen Schwenneker O’Bryan of Texas City, TX; his son Charles Gregory Schwenneker and wife Melissa of Moss Bluff, LA; his four grandchildren, Kari O’Bryan Norlander and husband Gavin of Pearland, TX, Kenna O’Bryan Pruitt and husband Jeremy of Texas City, TX, Rachel Schwenneker of Miami, FL, and Jonathan Schwenneker and partner John of Denver, CO; his three step-grandchildren, Davi Haguette of Fortaleza, Brazil, and Erika Haguette of Wilton, CT, and Natalie Gray and husband Mark of Moss Bluff, LA; his four great-grandchildren, Lori King Wood and husband Dennis, and triplets Madalyn, Conrad, and Kadence Pruitt of Texas City, TX; and his great-great-grandchildren Dennis Wood, IV and Dallas Wood of Texas City, TX.
Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Katheryn, his parents Jake and Mary, and his six siblings, George, Bruce, Helen, Arthur, Harriet and Warren.
A private family graveside memorial will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022.
