Connie Ann Prater

Connie Ann Prater, 73, of Lake Charles Louisiana, passed away on June 9, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Connie moved to Westlake in 1991 where she was a homemaker, then later worked in housekeeping at Harrah's Casino until she retired. Connie was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She had been living in Georgia since 2015.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald "Ronnie" Hardee, Jr. of Lake Charles, Daron Prater and wife Christie of Carrollton, GA; her previous husband, David Prater of Lake Charles; five grandchildren, Ronnie Hardee, III of Charlottte, NC, Casey Nelson of Moss Bluff, Dustin Prater, Kaylie Prater and Kendall Prater, all of Carrollton, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda White of Moss Bluff; her brother, Allen Wallace of LA; along with multiple nieces and nephews.

Hixson Funeral Home will be holding a Graveside Service at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00pm, with Bro. Jim Fisher officiating. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonmossbluff.com.
