

Daniel was a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. To his siblings he was more than just a brother, he was a father figure. He was a provider whether it was working, gardening, hunting, fishing or whatever needed to be done. He was employed by International Specialty Products for many years. He was a fishing and hunting enthusiast. He was proud of his accomplishments but he was the proudest of his role as a father. Daniel was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Vanita Salinas Hudspeth of Ragley; sons, Anthony Salinas of Lake Charles, and Adam (Jimmy) Salinas of Ragley; daughters, Jessica Hudspeth of Baton Rouge, Casey Smythe ( husband, Jimmy) of Rayne and Annette Salinas of Lake Charles; brothers, Ricky Brown (wife, Laura) of Boyce, LA and Vernon Brown of Marksville, LA; sister, Portia Goleman of Boyce, LA; grandchildren, Sierra Squyres, Martina Squyres, Amber Salinas Parker, Logan James Salinas, Dylan Salinas Blood, and Katie Salinas Duran; many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Freda Brown, his father, Daniel David Hudspeth III, son, Aaron Lee Salinas, father-in-law, James Van Wormer.
His memorial service will be 2pm, Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Creel Memorial Chapel in Ragley, LA. Visitation will begin Sunday, 1pm until service time. Flowers may be delivered to Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
