Doris Marie Broussard

She was born December 30, 1926 to the late Earl and Evelyn Bertrand.

She was a member of Squyres United Methodist Church after moving to Ragley in 1992 from Moss Bluff where her family had lived since 1959. She was a former member of Beauregard Homemakers Association and past member of Swinging Rebels Square Dancing Club. She had a passion for sewing, baking and growing flowers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Charles “Chuck” Broussard and wife Diana of Moss Bluff; Michael “Mike” Broussard and wife Janice of Longville; daughters, Cheryl Jones and husband Gary of Moss Bluff; Beth Arabie and husband Mike of Ragley; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren whom she loved very much; brothers, Don Bertrand and wife Jessie of Moss Bluff; David Bertrand wife Judy and Bill Bertrand and wife Alice all of Houston, TX; sisters, Joyce Stogsdill and husband Wayne and Candy McFarland and husband James all of Moss Bluff. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Broussard, grandson, Christopher Steven Jones and sister, Betty Ruth Carlock.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Burial of the urn will follow the service at Squyres Cemetery in Ragley.
