

Moss Bluff - Floyd Kennith Roberts, 78, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. An honorable man of great character went into the loving arms of his Savior.
Mr. Roberts was a man of many talents working for Lake Charles Housing Authority from where he retired, retiring from Local 678 as an ironworker after 50 years, also known as” Bull Roberts”, owner of several business such as, the first garbage collection company in Moss Bluff, sawmill company, fish market, solar screen business and tractor service. In his recreation time he loved to fish and hunt. With all his love of work, he made time for his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Newellyn Roberts, four daughters; Ruth (Henry) Ange, Pamela (David) Dowden, Debbie (Rick) Duhon and Karen Sonnier Hagen, son; David (Denise) Sonnier, sister; Verna Mae Adcock, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons Kenneth Roberts and Tony Sonnier and his daughter-in-law Denise Sonnier.
Services for Mr. Roberts will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2012, at 4 p.m. till 10 p.m. at Hixson Moss Bluff with a rosary being held at 7 p.m. and will resume again Tuesday, at 8 a.m. Psalms 30:5 "For his anger endures for a moment, for his favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
