Jennie Mae Benoit Stout

Mrs. Stout was born in Lake Charles, lived in Moss Bluff since 1953 and the Guardian House for the last 2 years. She was a graduate of St. Charles Academy and graduated from Vincent Business College and beauty school. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and Moss Bluff Garden Club. She owned and operated Mae's Beauty Salon for over 50 years.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Stout and wife, Theresa of DeRidder; daughter, Dee Dee Cochran and husband, Al of Lake Charles; one grandchild, Andrew Cronce and wife, Laci; two great-grandchildren, Kynli and Korben.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Stout, parents, Edith Jessen Benoit and Amile Benoit and infant daughter, Trudy Marlene Stout.

A special thank you to the nursing staff, sitters, all the (Marys), family members of other residents at the Guardian House and Southern Hospice nurses Amanda, Melanie and Diane for the care and kindness to our beloved mother.

Her funeral will be 2pm Monday, June 10, 2013 in St. Theodore Catholic Church of Moss Bluff. Visitation is from 4-9 on Sunday at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff, with a rosary at 6pm and will resume Monday 9am until service. The Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate.
