It is with great sadness to announce the death of Jimmie "Baby" Fuselier Tate, age 78, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana. She passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1946 to Herbert and Dorothy (Dot) Fuselier in Sulphur, LA.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Barry "Red Bird" Tate; daughter, Candace Bergeron (Ricky); son, Kerry Couch; grandchildren, Kari Cormier, Cody Gustin, Christopher Hennigan, Bailey Gotz, and Dixie Rose Bergeron; great granddaughter, Alina Stephens; step mother, Joyce Fuselier; devoted cousin, Lynette Duplechian; godchild, Rocky Fuselier; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jerry Fuselier, Terry Fuselier, Buddy Dale Fuselier and Ray Fuselier.
Baby had an infectious smile, a huge heart filled with love, and a true spirit of adventure. She lived her life to the fullest extent, the way she wanted to and never looked back. As a friend, her spirit gathered the best of the best.
In 1970, she opened her daycare center, Baby's Kiddieland. Her dedication as a daycare owner was unmatched. During her 51 years as a daycare owner, she made a lasting impression on each child and was loved and entrusted in caring for their children and then again for their children.
In 1979, she married Barry "Red Bird" Tate, the love of her life. As a wife, she was adored and she adored Red Bird in return. They filled their lives together with many adventures. She had a profound love for her family.
In this moment of remembrance, let us reflect on the joy, laughter, and love Baby brought into our lives. We will look for the signs everyday and we will never stop loving you and remembering the life you shared.
Even though our hearts are broken, it gives us solitude knowing that she is at peace and is no longer suffering.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of service.
A Celebration of Life will be officiated by Hixson Celebrant, Jody Tyler at 2:00PM.
