Joan was a resident of Moss Bluff for most of her life where she was a parishioner of St. Theodore Catholic Church and cherished the years that she worked in the church school. Her family will always remember the love that Joan had for her children and grandchildren, especially the great grandbabies.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Joan Treadway, Debbie Weaver, Kathy Thibeau and husband Anthony and P.J. MacDonald; grandchildren, Charles, Michael, Joseph and Mathew Treadway, Justin and Corey Weaver, Amanda Dubose, Ashlee and Daylan MacDonald, Anthony, Stephanie and William Duggan; great grandchildren, Destiny, Rylee, Mason, Vivian, Arwen, Angela, Emma, Autumn, Zoey, Lana, Shaun, Travis, Alijah, Andre, Elijah, Katai, Trace, Todd and Theodore.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Carrol Davis; husband, Paul MacDonald; daughters, Susan Blunnie and Patricia Duggan; and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Sunday, April 2, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theodore Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 followed by burial at New Ritchie Cemetery. Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will be officiating at the services.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Joan's nurses Ann Marie and Emily for their compassionate care and to Sister Claire.
