Kristina Marie (Benoit) Krejci

Kristina Marie Benoit-Krejci passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at a local hospital after a suffering an accident in her home and six-teen days in a Critical Care Unit. She was born on October 13, 1963.

Kris was known for her youthful exuberance for life and her positive presence. She was kind and helpful to anyone who needed assistance; including strangers. She was quick to “pay it forward” and never expected anything in return. She made friends everywhere she went. Kris loved God, her family and her friends. She possessed an innocence that opened her heart to others that will be remembered fondly. Kris was also known for providing assistance to homeless pets in need. Her chihuahua, “Sandy” was her favorite rescue.

While growing up in Moss Bluff, LA Kris loved riding her horse and participating in sports. She was known for her athleticism and excelled in softball, track, volleyball and band in high school. Kris was also chosen as the first female Drum Major of the schools marching band. Kris graduated with honors from Sam Houston High School in 1981 and obtained an Associate Degree in Computer Technology from McNeese State University.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband of 28 years, Rick Krejci; step-daughters, Amanda Johnson (Tracy) and Kimberly Cochran (William); grandchildren, William Cochran III, Tyson Johnson, and Hayden Cochran; her dad, Jules Garland Benoit; sister, Pam Benoit-Savoie (Shadd E. Savoie); brothers Richard G. Benoit and Travis W. Benoit (Jendi Savoie-Benoit); as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Dovie Midkiff Benoit; Aunt, Doris Cooper; Uncles, Hollis Midkiff and Murvis Midkiff.

Flowers may be sent for the service or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA or a local animal shelter in Kristina's memory.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend this visitation from the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, Moss Bluff, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m, led by Pastor Rocky East. Interment will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery.
