

He was a native of Madisonville, Kentucky and had been a resident of Moss Bluff for the last 36 years, moving from Lake Charles. Leonard was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic church and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Patricia King; his mother, Virgie Verette of Lake Charles; two sons, Leonard Troy King and wife, Kelli and Kevin Eugene King and Kim, all of Moss Bluff; and one grandchild, Emma Claire King. He is preceded in death by a son, Gerald Wayne King; and his father, Leonard King, Sr.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, in Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. The Rev. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Monday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
