Linda Gail Koonce

Linda was born in August 5, 1943 in Baton Rouge, to the late J.C. and Fleda (Adams) Vallery, she married Roland Floyd Koonce, October 4, 1959 in Moss Bluff

Linda was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Fleda Brittian and husband Adrian, Samuel Koonce and wife Tina, Joel Koonce and wife Cynthia, all of Moss Bluff; seven grandchildren, Crystal Sassin and husband Roy of Sulphur, Charles Pfeifer and wife Heather of Moss Bluff, Jerid Fruge of Lake Charles, Valerie Elliot and Blake of Ragley, Patiricia Pharris and fiancé Jeb Martin of DeQuincy, Hannah and Parker Koonce of Moss Bluff. And two great grandchild Kolton Elliot and Ryley Bivelle. Also surviving are four sisters, Janet Grundmann of Westlake, Joyce Gautreaux and husband Leroy of New Orleans, Ioma Durand of Toledo Bend, Adele Manuel and husband Elroy of Moss Bluff, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Bobbie Jewel Tyson, Wanda Gaynell Powell; three brothers, Fred Milton Vallery, John Dalton Vallery, and Joseph Wayne Vallery.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug 8, in Hixson Funeral Home Moss Bluff Chapel in Moss Bluff. Visitation is Sunday Aug 7, 4-8 p.m. and resume Monday 11 a.m. until the service of funeral in the funeral home officiated by Reverend Mark Randy Stanton of Westlake. Burial will be in the old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Naquin, Jaeson Leverkuhn, Bryan Wiggs, Dayday Fruge, Charles Pfeifer, and Randy Vallery.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles for the love and support shown to us during the loss of our mom, also Jaeson and Bryan for all your love and care they have both giving to this wonderful lady, she loved them both.
