

Marjorie Dickerson, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016. She lived in Ragley for the past 14 years but originally was from Lake Charles. She loved antiques and crafts, old clocks and collectibles, along with pictures. Music was also a love of hers and Elvis Presley was one of her favorites. She enjoyed her grandkids and had an extended family of kids and grandkids on California street and Ragley and was like mother figure to them. She graduated from St. Charles Academy and would still talk and have dinner with former classmates from time to time.
She leaves behind her husband Randall Dickerson whom she married on February 2, 1957. Next month they would have been married 59 years. She also leaves her four sons, “Joey” Dickerson and wife Lisa of Carlyss., Kenneth Dickerson of Lake Charles, Steven Dickerson and fiancé Heidi of Lake Charles, and Keith Dickerson and wife Angela of Lake Charles. Also, surviving are her six grandchildren Jamie Dickerson, Julie Savell and husband John, Christopher Dickerson, Joshua Dickerson, and Tyler Dickerson and wife Samantha, and Alex Dickerson, along with eleven great grandchildren and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leo Cole and Lena LeDoux Gwyn, and her sister Norma Joy Brashear.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Father Mike Barras will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm and will resume on Tuesday from 9:00am until the time of service. A Cursillo Rosary will be held on Monday at 6:30pm.
