Michael Joseph Dore'

Mike was born in Sulphur and lived in Moss Bluff since 1976. He was a graduate of Sulphur High School, and attended Northeastern State University and USL. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and worked as a mud engineer for 40 years with Baker Hughes. He loved playing golf, fishing and LSU football games. He also supported and enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra Migues Dore’ of Moss Bluff; son, Scott Michael Dore’ and wife, Mary Lyn of Moss Bluff; daughter, Kerri Churchman and husband, Bryan of Rosepine, LA; brothers, Donald Dore’ and wife, Shirley of Rayne, LA and Richard Dore’ and wife, Caren of Lake Charles; sisters, Genevieve Roeder of Houston, TX, Connie LeBlanc and husband, Paris of Sulphur, LA and Barbara Williams and husband, Larry of Lake Charles; sister-in-law, Jewel Dore’; grandchildren, Samantha Johnson, Kristin Johnson, Connor Churchman, Jack Dore’ and Jolie Dore’; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neri and Celia Dore’; brother, Virgil Dore’; sister, Juanita Dore’.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Visitation will begin Sunday 4pm-9pm with a rosary at 6:30pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and will resume Monday, 9am until service time at the church.
