Myrtis was born June 10, 1937 in Lake Charles, to Manuel and Lena Parker Myers. She graduated from Gillis High School. She worked for South Central Bell Telephone Company for 22 years, until she decided to pursue a career in Real Estate.
She was a Realtor for Prejean Real Estate and Century 21. During her career she was honored with a number of awards, Including Top Producing Realtor of the Year for SWLA for many years straight.
In 1986, she opened her own agency Myrtis Mueller Realty. She loved working with her clients and many became lifelong friends of hers.
Myrtis was more than her career, though. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma, a caring friend, and a phenomenal cook. Her radiant character was unmistakable. Above all, Myrtis was a giver of love, support, laughs, and friendship. Words fail to describe her. A true lady who touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Muriel Uptigrove and sister, Nellie Huval.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Gilbert “Don” Mueller, daughter, Sheila Peterson and husband, Ken, son, Jeff Pitre and wife, Amanda, daughters, Lisa Manuel and Gina Mueller all of Moss Bluff; step-daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Mueller and step-son, James “Jimmy” Mueller both of Lake Charles, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
