Opal Mae Hebert

She was born in Branch, LA and lived in Moss Bluff area since 1958. She was a member of Moss Bluff United Pentecostal Church. She worked for Muller's, T.G.&Y., and Woolworth before retiring. She loved cooking for her family and fishing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Kay Bushnell and husband, Glen of Moss Bluff, Jennie Lynn Daigle and husband, James of Westlake, Joyce Elaine Stewart, Moss Bluff; a son, Benny Hampton and wife, Gayla of Gillis; sisters, Shirley Benoit of Moss Bluff, Nelda Hollingshead and husband, Albert of Moss Bluff, Eleanor McInnis and husband, Earl of Breaux Bridge and Sandra Sue Reeves of Lake Charles; 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and a dear sister-in-law, Judy Welch of Moss Bluff.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elbert Hebert and brother, Henry Calvin Welch and her parents, Henry Hampton and Stella Opal Welch.

Her funeral will be at 1pm Monday, January 7, 2013 in Moss Bluff United Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Tim Mahoney and Rev. Jeffery Ralston will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles, LA. Visitation is 4-9pm Sunday and 8-11am Monday at Hixson Funeral Home Moss Bluff and will resume again 12-1pm Monday at the church.
