It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother Pamella Mary Elledge. Pam passed peacefully at the age of 82 in her sleep in the early morning hours at her home surrounded by her twin daughters on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Anyone that ever had the good fortune to meet her knew immediately what a kind and genuine person she was. Pamella was born on February 3, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to Henry Shields Ketchum Jr. and Rita Shirley Frey Ketchum.
Pam was a loving mother of three girls who she lived for and an adoring wife to her husband, Robert Elledge. She met her husband, Robert, in 1969 in Cameron, Louisiana through one of her close friends, Maria, and fell in love instantly with his beautiful smile. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Pam had a passion for reading books, flea marketing, thrifting, and collecting old quilts. She also enjoyed rescuing dogs with her daughters for many years. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her twin daughters, Teri Elledge and Keri Elledge Gaudin; her oldest daughter, Dana Marie Elledge; three grandchildren, Ariana Gabrielle Kropf, Zachary Ryan Gaudin, and Autumn Claire Gaudin; her two sisters, Cynthia Harper of Pearl River, LA and Sandra Champagne of Waggaman, LA; and her brother, Henry Ketchum of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Clifton Elledge, her parents, her sister, Melody Halligan of Slidell, LA.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Pamella's life on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Hixson Funeral Home, Moss Bluff. Visitation will begin at Noon with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Luke Leichty will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery.
We the family of Pamella would like to express our heartfelt appreciation of the many wishes of sympathy, condolences and generous support from our family friends, and relatives. We are very touched by everyone's thoughtfulness and kindness. We would like to extend a special thank you to Allegiance Home Health Care. May she rest in peace.
