He was a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High in Lafayette and of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was also a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity of ULL.
He is survived by his mother, Joy Veillon Murphy of Moss Bluff; daughters, Madison Elizabeth Murphy and Grace Ann Murphy; aunt, Bonnie Mouhart of Mamou, LA.
He is preceded in death by his father, Howell Clayton Murphy; his grandmother, Emily Blanchard.
His funeral service will be 1pm, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. The Father Wayne will officiate. Visitation will begin Tuesday 11am until service time.
