

Tammy was a Life Long resident of Moss Bluff. She was a graduate of Sam Houston High school, class of 1980. In 1981, she married David who she would spend the rest of her life with. During their 34 years of marriage, she dedicated herself to their family of five children. She worked tirelessly and passionately as a mother, teacher, coach, nurse, maid, friend and mentor with all those she met in her years with various apostolates and activities.
Tammy was a member of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church her whole life and was active in many church activities throughout the years: music ministry, Cursillo, Regnum Christi, Boys and Girls Challenge and Conquest camps, Bear Island and spiritual director.
Survivors include her husband David Grove; one son, Hunter Carlise Grove and his wife Shanna; four daughters, Austin Jade Blackwell, Marina Rain Grove, Noel Alaina Grove, Anna Grace Grove; three grandchildren, Taris Elizabeth Blackwell, Isaac William Blackwell, Jaxon Paul Grove; her mother Wanda Duhon; one brother Dennis Duhon and three sisters, Denise Manuel, Mary Nixon, and Dana Oliver.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until time of services at St. Theodores Catholic Church. A scripture service and rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, December 21. Celebration of Mass and Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 22,2015 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held at New Richie Cemetery under the direction of Hixson funeral Home.
