Thomas Auburn Shaw

Thomas was born in Lafayette, LA and lived most of his life in Lake Charles area. He was a graduate of Dry Prong High School. He worked 29 years for Cotton's Holsum Bread Co. of Lake Charles. He enjoyed hot rods, wood working, and reading. He was a member of the Moss Bluff Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Doris Lasyone Shaw; one son, Scott Shaw and wife, Suzanne of Austin, TX; three daughters, Dondra Hamilton of Houston, TX, Shawnette Newby and husband, Frank of Carlyss, LA, and Sally Seegraves of Maplewood, LA; one sister, Sandra Girouard of Lafayette, LA; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4-8pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff and will resume 12noon until service time at the church. His funeral will be at 2pm Monday, February 3, 2014, in Bentley Church of Christ, Bentley, LA. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley, LA.
