AÑADIR UN RECUERDO

I always knew my grandpa was a fighter, and I knew he fought hard against everything he went through. He was a great man and a great grandpa to everyone. I miss him a lot. I'm going to miss how happy he got when we visited him and how he'd always take an interest in our lives, whether it was about work or school. I always appreciated the time I had with him.

When I heard the news, my father was very Ill, I had shared the news with my family, of course their initial thoughts were “oh no hope he gets better”. Then when he had passed, we had talked about how much we missed Grandma and now will miss Grandpa too. My children will miss the farm, the cows, the geese, the dogs, cats, and those conversations with Grandpa about how school and the jobs were going. He never failed to ask. I will miss the smile on his face when we showed up to visit, he was always happy to see us and spend time with us.
I will always have those remembrances as a child when he would arrive home from work everyday at ten to five. I looked forward to seeing what surprise he had hidden in his lunch box. I also remember him teaching me to mow with the riding lawnmower, then the big tractors. I remember helping him repair and maintain the vehicles and tractors, he was the ultimate do it yourselfer and was never scared to tackle anything even when it was our dreaded haircuts.
Also, some things that are quick to come to mind are teaching me to drive, and those conversations about our cars, lawnmowers, appliances and which we thought were better and why one was better than the other.
He loved talking about his cows and when one would have a calf and would be quick to offer up for sharing once they were grown.
But most of all I will miss him for the father that he was, and honest and caring man who seemed wiser to me with every passing year and now in some ways see myself like him. Love You Dad

Mr. Dziadek will be missed. He has been our neighbor for as long as we have lived here. When I first met him, I thought he was a bit gruff. I soon found out that he had a great, giving heart and was always willing to help if we asked. He was a hard worker and loved his farm. I could see him running around his property on his red tractor, he was always busy. RIP Mr. Dziadek, you have run and won your earthly race, now enjoy your eternal rest.
