Mrs. Charlotte Winona Maggard

Mrs. Charlotte Winona Maggard, Age 85, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026. Winona was born in Barthell, Kentucky on July 5, 1940. Winona was a member of Mt. Zion Full Gospel Church. She was a woman of faith and loved being involved in her church. Some of her favorite hobbies included reading and crocheting. Winona loved taking scenic car rides whenever the chance presented itself. She took most pride in her family and enjoyed making memories with them. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Elsie “Perry” Sumner, and siblings, Edward Bishop, Ronnie Sumner (Barbara) and Gary Sumner (Phyllis). She is survived by her loving husband Walter Maggard; children, Vanessa Boggs (Shawn) and Bruce Maggard (Kimberly); granddaughter, Shelby Maggard (Nick); great grandson, Sawyer Mathes; siblings, Anna Mae Whitaker, Betty Combs (Bob) and Mitchell Sumner (Ina); numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and on Monday from 11:00a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
