Michelle Lynn Burt

Michelle Lynn “Yates” Burt, age 52, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 22, 2026. She was born on June 13, 1973, in Louisville, Kentucky. Michelle attended St. Athanasius grade school and was a 1991 Graduate of Assumption High School. She went on to continue her education. She was employed by UPS for 27 years. She loved Bunco, wine tasting and was always up for an adventure. Most of all she loved spending time with her boys, car shows, sporting events or just hanging out. Michelle was a loving and devoted Mother, Sister and Daughter. She was also the Best Friend a group of Besties could have asked for. Michelle was known for her big smile, kind heart, fierce Wonder Woman attitude and her well-timed eye rolls. She will deeply be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Maxwell Burt and Nicholas Burt; mother, Marcia Yates (Don Kroeger); sister, Dawn Outlaw (Ben); stepbrother, Eric Kroeger (Paula); ex-husband, Jason Burt; aunt, Diana McDonald; niece, Danielle Miller; nephew, Johnny Miller; besties, Christine, Shawna, Kristen, Shelly, Melanie and Cynthia; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington KY, 40047.) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
