She was born on June 24, 1940, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to Virgil and Wilma (Buck) Brannon, into a bustling household as one of fourteen siblings. AnnaLee grew up with a deep sense of family and togetherness that she carried throughout her life. Her childhood was full of laughter, shared stories, and the kind of closeness that can only come from a house full of love and siblings.
In 1964, she married the love of her life, Dorris, in a simple and unforgettable ceremony held in the back of a furniture store, a testament to their humble beginnings and the enduring love that would carry them through decades together.
A devoted Christian, AnnaLee accepted Christ into her heart in 1995, a moment that transformed her life and became the foundation of her faith and hope. Her walk with the Lord was evident in her kindness, patience, and unwavering love for others.
Her home was a sanctuary—not just for people, but for beauty. She adored flowers and filled every space, inside and out, with vibrant blooms and fragrant arrangements.
But more than anything, AnnaLee cherished her family. She poured her heart into her daughter and biblical debates with her son-in-law, and nothing made her light up like time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love was steady, her hugs healing, and her presence a blessing.
AnnaLee is survived by her loving husband, Dorris; daughter, Melissa (Jay) Clark; grandchildren, Jayla (Bradley) Banse, Olivia (Ken) Arnold, Jacob (fiancé, Kacie) Clark; great grandchildren, Tori, Jaxon, Izzy, Kamryn, and Josie; sisters, Judy Hayes and Sue Slaven; special nieces, Lesa Fullhart and Danielle Woodson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
