She was born in Pickett County, Tennessee on April 2, 1930, the daughter of John Mack and Lula Vincent. Betty went on to marry the love of her life, George “Art” Cassity. She worked many years at Ball State University.
Betty is survived by four of her siblings.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, George Cassity, her parents, and several siblings.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
