Brian Lee Franklin

Brian was born Monday, September 5, 1966, to the late Donald and Paula (Jones) Welder. He retired from Delaware County Sheriff’s Department in 2019 after twenty-seven years of service, there he was a K-9 handler. After retirement, Brian took a part time job serving civil processes in Delaware County.

He is survived by his daughter, Lauren (husband, Jacob) Dalton; son, Brian Lee (girlfriend, Tasha) Franklin Jr.; brother, Mark (fiance, Jessie) Welder; sister, Toyce (husband, Jason) Johnson; aunt, Janna Jones-Hill; grandsons, Braylon Franklin and Levi Dalton; cousin, Tommy Welder; mother of his children, Tenoha Brown; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Paula (Jones) Welder; and a cousin, Bruce Welder.

Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
