Charles F. Hall Jr., 76, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was a son of the late Charles F. Hall Sr. and Florence Hall.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked as a truck driver for several private trucking companies, earning the respect of his peers with his dedication and work ethic.
In July 1978, Charles married the love of his life, Karen (Carman) Hall. Together, they blended and built a beautiful family, sharing over 51 years of love and commitment.
Charles had a lifelong passion for racing stock cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed buying and selling just about anything, always on the lookout for his next treasure. A collector at heart, he especially loved classic cars—proudly owning a 1956 Chevy Bel Air and a Corvette. He also had a special affection for his yellow motorcycle.
More than anything, Charles was a devoted family man. He deeply loved and cherished his wife, Karen, and was a proud, doting father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His generosity, humor, and big heart will be remembered always.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Hall; sons, Charles F. (Tonya) Hall III, John (Britany) Hall, and Jason (Heather) Hall; daughters, Marcia (Dickie) Elmore, Carrie (Donald) Corbin, and Chasity Fryback; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother.
In addition to both of his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Mike Hall; and two grandsons.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Funeral services will begin promptly at 1:00 PM.
