She was born Tuesday, November 26, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter John and Luella Irene (Carley) Amendt. Debbie grew up at Gull Lake, Michigan and graduated from Gull Lake High School. She loved to go swimming, fishing, camping, and she was an avid reader.
Survivors include her siblings, Helen Amendt Lang, Walter Amendt, Elizabeth Breedlove, Marlene (husband, Mike) May, Linda Valenzuela, and Debi Hind; she is also survived by Wesley and Sherry Russell, Kendra and Al Burgess; several step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter John and Luella Irene Amendt; her identical twin sister, Deloris Amendt Cahill; and her husband, Norman H. Russell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020, at her mausoleum niche in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Following the service a meal will be provided by family in the Community Room at the Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
Debbie left us too soon and will be missed by her family and friends.
