Herbert (Subby) Preston, age 82, died Saturday, June 7 at his home in Oxford, OH. He was born on November 5, 1931 in Hamilton, OH, the son of William F. and Martha (Hughes) Preston. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1949. On April 16, 1955 he married Virginia (Mickey) Gast. During the Korean Conflict, he served as a radio operator in the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a salesman from Sear-Roebuck & Company in Hamilton. Mr. Preston was an avid golfer and the recipient of many trophies during his lifetime. He was a member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Oxford Senior Citizens, Inc. He is survived by his wife Mickey and two sisters; Helen Betz of Fairfield and twin sister Geneva Kerby of Hamilton and also many nieces and nephews.
